Good Day Sir / Madam , I read your job posting for Electrician In my previous position as a winder electrician,i do exam,weekly exam,yearly exam on winders and HT substation weekly inspection battery tripping at sub station,switching and phasing,testing lock-bells,doing trips and testing safety circuit,doing level 1(blanes)dynamic brake testing,trips after cutting the rope front-ends and back-ends ,doing fault finding and construction jobs like new installation,doing HT switching, termination and i also do shaft exam In my current job i do mantainance on the conveyor belts,shaft exam ,new cable installation mv and lv switching and do the legals I have a Electrical Trade certificate ,trade tested with impala platinum mine,driving licence and good communicating skills . Profile
I am currently employed as General manager responsible for the opencast gold mine and the carbon in leach gold plant. I am involved in strategic decision of the operation, long term and medium term planning. Managing over 500 employees with 5 X Mancom team members that report directly to me. Part of my day to day responsibilities is to ensure that the mine operations are operated safely and acheives business targets as set in business plans. Support all manager and employees in attaining results. I am a qualified mining engineer with an excess of 19 years experience; managing underground gold mines, chrome underground and opencast mine, and managing aggregates operations. I hold qualification in MEng project mgmt, BSc engineering (mining), Leadetship development programs and safety management programmes. I am a team player, enrgetic and peoples person. Willing to always go and extra mile in assisting others to realise their dreams.

Experience in underground and opencast, gold, cement and aggregates and GIS.
As a senior geologist I dont feel that we are doing what we are suppose to, which is extending the life of mine. We do a lot of underground mapping, drilling and updating of plans. I work on microstation but nowadays we are short staff thus I need to go underground more often and do mapping. The most challenging aspects of the job is the difficult areas underground and having to walk alone as we do not have any assistants. My microstation has made a lot of progress since I was using it a lot. I am currently doing my MSc MRM through the company and by doing this I have learnt a lot, I see the mining from a totally new perspective. I will reconsider how things are being done now in comparison to the past. At most of the shafts we worked as as team but at certain shafts where I worked there is these groups and if they dont like you you are not part of the team.

Dedicated to deliver on time and without any problems
Start day early with meeting between managers of different departments en what problems they encountered from previous day and if they need urgent assistance from my dept. I have a very good relationship with co-workers as it is essential for to have good communication to solve problems and get work done on time. As I am a service department to production it is important to provide a service to them on time and without any complications which will impact on production. It is very satisfying to complete daily tasks to standard and safely. It still remains a challenging job to get work done especially when working with different groups of people. Treating other people with respect helps to make it easier.

Looking for new challenges.
Daily, weekly and monthly reports that should be submitted. The co-workers are of different backgrounds but because I easily adjust I fit in and have created an understanding with my sub-ordinates and the workforce at large, although some may be old the work relation has grown into a normal culture one learns to respect each individual. Working with people who understand and those that you can change their lives with many aspects in general. Challenges are the deadlines which have to be always met within the demands from the requestors above.

I am pationate to comunicate to my co workers and teams. i am good listner and like to be a problem solver. I am a good leader to motivate production teams to be the best performers. i am very proud on my workplace and driven hard to keep the workplace to standard and healthy at all times .i always push hard to achieve daily and montly targets.
