Exellent learning curve

Grip has given me an exceptional understand of Gender Based Violence amongst women and children. This brought forward in me proper implementation of my social work values and principles. Working with survivors of rape and domestic violence in essence help me understand the notion of sensitivity and individualization. It also brought in me a sense of leadership and understanding of leadership as a whole. I was also given the opportunity to draw up IDP's, carry out community out reach programmes, individual therapy as well as group therapy for the house residents. As a Shelter social worker my understanding of the survivors of rape and domestic violence was enhances by the domestic violence act, children's at as well as the minimal norms and standards of Sheltering.
