Very big opportunity for learning agriculture farming crops

I am running three farms in three provinces. I have learnt a lot in terms of business running and enterpreneurship in general. I have gained more people management as well as working with heir to the business not like in a corporate environment where everyone is an employee. I have been involved in excessive travelling and working away from home. Dealing with the direct owner of the business has good and bad things. The businessman can regard you as part of the family or he can throw you away if he feels so. One has to very tactical in dealing under ( a family business). Getting in good books with one of them could influence a lot whilst the opposite is the same.

Pros: The salary is not graded but is directly to your performance.
Cons: The relationship could affect your earnings and not just your performance. There are not long term benefits eg pension or provident fund

I have learnt a lot in people management over the years of my working life in FMCG

My current work involves working overseeing three farms in three provinces. This involves travelling a lot and stay away from home. The environment is very dyanamic due to unpredictable weather. I worked 24/7. I have learnt good planning around such difficult conditions and my relationship with workers is like that of a big family as we all live on site together. I enjoy working with people and producing food for the nation

Pros: I have reached my sealing in this company. My motivation is through greater achievements
Cons: I am already used to working long hours but it denies me of opportunity to be with my family when travelling.

Business development running etc

I have learnt a lot in running a business through budgeting (monthly to annual). I have solely responsible for the short and long term production planning. My production planning was between 12 - 36 months. I directly ran my HR management too. This is from recruitment to day-to-day human resources affairs.

Pros: Reached highest level
Cons: Long working hours including weekends
