• Diary Management of the CFO. • Strategic diary management and planning for the CFO which include travel arrangements, conferences and booking registrations at exhibitions and seminars • Undertaking research for the CFO on specified topics and produce reports so as to provide the CFO with necessary information on which to formulate views and make decisions. • Compile and submit expenses for the CFO. • Liaise with the Personal Assistant to the Municipal Manager to provide cover where needed. • Provide General Secretarial Support to the CFO, including assistance with Municipal Secretarial administration, Finance Projects, meetings and events. • All stationary requisitions and orders for the entire finance departments. • Secretary on the Valuations Appeals Board. • My voice has been used as the automated voice on the telephone machine system at the municipality

Good learning experience

I am currently unemployed residing at Kempton Park Gauteng. The Greater Kokstad Municipality is the most recent company I had worked for. The contact as Programs officer ended in October 2017. Since then, I am looking for employment. I am a hard worker

Pros: Understanding people and different behaviours, understand organisational behaviour and working environment, learning more skills, Working with diverse individuals
Cons: Working during holidays and weekends at times, long meetings with stakeholders, Attacks by community members, Attacks by employees especially of leadership programs

The company I'm working for is a learning organisation where furthering of studies is encouraged.

I enjoy working with people helping the community everyday. Everyone is encouraged to come with new ideas especially to us Graduates. Its veryt challenging to be expected to work and meet targets but only to find out that that the resources are not at a required standard.

My experience on my current job

at revenue most of the time I deal with customers from different background with different attitudes of which I need to accommodate them using the batho pele principles since it is a government. what I learned is that regardless of what so ever customer is always right and they must be treated equally. I enjoy numbers more than anything. meeting deadlines and the monthly reports also shortages occurred during the month need to be covered also produce report abt them

I am a fast learner

I am a very dedicated person who is looking forward to advance his skills in the field of engineering. I am a good person who is able to work alone and a team. I have learnt that each company is there to serve customers equally and with dignity.

Pros: Am still young therefore am still looking forward to learn more.

Learnership

Not everyday is a busy day , some days there is no work and we all just sit on our phones eating the whole day , my supervisors are professional however they favour certain interns

Cons: pay as you earn , no overtime , no sick leave

Actualy theres room for growth as this Municipality serves one of the smallest towns in KZN

I enjoy every day at work hence I am doing what I love which is interacting with different people in all levels of the organization. I would like to believe that I have a good relationship with my co-workers as they always approach me seeking advise on HR matters. I have learnt that an organization is only productive when its employees work together as a team. Honestly I enjoy being part of a team that contributes in decreasing unemployment. Disciplining employees is one of the most challenging aspects of my job.

Pros: In the Greater Kokstad Muncipality has great opportunities for growth.
Cons: The only problem with the Municipality is the small office space and limited resources e.g five employees in one office sharing two or one computer.
