Fleet Manager and Operations

I am in transport for 34 years. I started as a driver and went through all the phases from fleet control to Operations and Depot Management. Later I became the Regional Manager for Autonet and Freight Dynamics. I also learned a lot at Unitrans regarding Warehousing. At Imperial I was lucky to enter the bulk grain market and also work with the likes of Spoornet. Currently FleetManager of a fleet in excess of 200 heavy duty vehicles.

Pros: Close to my home
Cons: Long hours and even after hours

Up for new opportunity. Meet new people and companies

I was a great learning curve. People at work became like own family. I learned a lot of skills. I cannot go up in the ranks now any more. I want to relocate residential address end of this year closer to West Rand.

Pros: I learned a lot of skills. Met fantastic people.
Cons: I need to relocate end of year
