The time i have spent at GLTC has been an awesome learning experience.

At GLTC i have learnt to work with different people that have different personalities. I have learnt that regardless of what a person that walks through the door looks like you treat everybody with the utmost respect and assist where you can. Giscor has also taught me to work well under pressures and given me great communication skills both physically and telephonically. I now know how to remain neutral even when thw person on the other end of the line isnt calm. But i generally enjoyed interacting with different people from different walks of life.

Pros: I learnt alot. Attained great communication skills. Great expetience in office environment
Cons: Alot of work with a very minimum salary

Learning Curve and totally different working in a corporate enviroment

A typical day is spent majority if the time behind a computer doing allocations of debtors payments not much time is available to spend with co-workers. I have learnt a different accounting software which I have found interesting and very user friendly. Enjoyment of the job and company is very little due to not having much time do anything else but making sure that all payments are allocated by the deadlines. Month end is very challenging for me as I have to have everything done within the time frame provided by my superiors.

Pros: Plenty room for growth withing the company
Cons: Far distance to travel everyday

Technical exposure

Team work is an important factor of the daily activities and tasks we are faced with. I have the opportunity to directly liaise with the customer knowing that the company I work for depends on me to be the face of the company in the customers presence and that my actions decides how strong of a bond the customer has with the company I represent. Although I am faced with technical problems on a daily basis. This has helped me to approach problem with ease and with aid of schematic diagrams to understand the problem. Solving a problem is where I find the greatest joy and fulfillment out of my job.

Pros: Possibility of technical support
Cons: Unplanned working after hours.

Excellent learning curve

I have a assessor, moderator, training coordinator and SDF certicates. Currently looking for position in pretoria. I have worked as a leadership development administrator at barloworld equipment, duties were training coordination from beginning to end, booking and paying suppliers.
