Excellent learning curve

Typical work day consists of helping 150+ people. I have learnt a lot about working with Microsoft Active Directory, Mikrotik, HP switches, Mitel and PaperCut servers. I enjoy helping people and fixing computers. Most challenging thing is to make time for everything. The work isn't the problem, there just aren't enough hours in the day to get through everything. I work late most days to get things done that I can't get to during office hours. It has been an excellent learning curve, and I am really glad I started working there.

Pros: It's a logistics company, so it never closes. For example during covid I was assured that I will keep my job as an "essential employee".

An average work day

Start of shift I have a meeting with the team for attendance and confirm targets for the day. I call the customer and enquir what their load schedule is like. I do a check on machinary and work available. Do thorough checks on 5-6 loads of the customers product. Each load takes 45 mins to 1 hour Timesheets to be done before 9 am. Send our customers and transporters a scheduled update every 3 hours in the form of a progress report. Book in trucks and compare it to information sent from transporters. Ensure my team is loading work accordingly as per information received from customer and transporter. Ensure work is executed according to company rules and the food, health and safety requirements.

Cons: 3 shift cycle including all weekends and public holidays.no available transport

I've learn so much

Due to end of contract im no more working on this company but I did enjoy with my corewokers everything was perfect. I was only work 4 days and 2 days off every week so i had time to spend with my family i was able to see them whenever I want within this 2 days every week

A Day At The Office

The day starts off with updating the wareabouts of the fleet I'm responsible for, while doing so I'm speaking to each driver finding out if everything is okay.thereafter I attended to the paperwork submitted by the drivers,I do the driving hours and overtime for driver salaries, handle queries and claim's, kpi and weekly revenue reports, ensuring the depot is constantly fueled with Diesel for vehicles turning,in closings updating the company of where the vehicles loaded and ending destination.

Cons: Very long working hours and to much work for one person

Lot to learn

To drive long distances reversing tight and confined spaces with very long trucks and trailers. We also do local deliveries where now a d then a driver has to make sure of what is loaded on the truck, strap and safe guard the load, opening and closing of side carton trailers.

Excellent learning industry

I have worked for about 5 years in the company and all I got is good experience and what I enjoy the most with my job is that I'm doing something that I love most of communication as it a huge industry with most friendly co workers. The things I have learned is to lead by example , team player , supervising , achieving your daily duties, working under pressure without any superior. though there are worst days were I have a lot to do and the time is not on my side , but I make sure to longer my hours if I have to complete my tasks before the end of the day.

Terrible company, poor management.

good company but management is poor and do not care for their staff at all. Threats are constantly made to staff about losing their job if they so or say something management does not like. Salaries are not up to to standard and no bonuses for staff except management. There is no room for growth or equality among staff.

Cons: long hours, under appreciation, over worked under paid, no bonuses, no place for growth, dictator like environment, don't care attitude towards staff
