Reputable company with lots of potential career development in specialist fields

Golder is a good company to work for with a pleasant working environment. This is an environment with lots of very knowledgeable and skilled employees. Golder prides itself in the quality of work it delivers to clients and promotes an environment of learning. The office I was working in is very diversified both in technical skills and backgrounds. There is much to learn at Golder under the right circumstances and I have learned a substantial amount of knowledge in my time there. The work we do there is of high quality and complex. I have learned from different aspects such as design, site investigation and drafting during my time.

Pros: Great environment for improving one's academic profile
Cons: Relatively few opportunities for promotion

It's okay not a bad career choice but includes a lot of travelling.

Involvement in team work and Projects

I enjoy it when the senior guys involve me in the brainstorming of a Project at the preliminary stage. Presenting sketches to the Client before commencing with the designs.

Pros: Great opportunity of working across the globe.
Cons: Working for global company or a big company, might take decades to escalate.
