Was contracted to establish a footprint in the Mpumalanga Lowveld area for Glass Partners.

A typical work day would be to canvas customers against existing three National Suppliers in the construction glass industry. Any contact with co-workers were by e-mail and cell phone.The only direct contact was with the staff doing deliveries to procured customers. What I have learnt is that supplying customers from a long distance against suppliers with existing local infrastucture is a big challenge. What I enjoyed the most was the interaction with my customers. As mentioned I had to establish a footprint for a new entrant into the local market against three other National Suppliers with established local infrastructure. Supplies were delivered from 370km away into a market that demanded accurate delivery dates.This was the biggest challenge but also the biggest joy when we succeeded.Obligations in terms of my brief were met and it is up to the instructing company as to what they want to do with the information and results.

Pros: Helping a new entrant establishing a footprint and satisfying certain needs of my customers.
Cons: Long working hours and having to fund all my expences from a commission only income.

Excellent warehouse skills

I have over 15 years warehousing and supervising experience. Skills are . But not limited to receiving planning. Production and supervising . I am hand on and a good people's person

I learnt very quick and sorted out what I did

Working at glass partners was challenging every day you leant something had busy days. Sorting out unhappy customers sorting out price lists, talking to the big customer making them feel comfortable had a target of 1.2k a month I did it unless business was slow, sorted out calling customers answering phones had a petty cash box of R10 000.00 a month . Done cash sales R80 000.00 a month. I got on with everybody the most challenging was when I hit my target and went over it. I enjoyed the busy and hetic days running around spring out problem. I am good what I do.

Pros: Could have got a promotion but blocked
Cons: Working for the wrong boss
