Great managerial experienec

I am currently the Supply Chain Manager for German Autoworks, Cape Town. I manage the entire supply chain from selecting and negotiating terms with suppliers, to ensuring all parts are delivered on time, in the right quantity and quality. Roles and Responsibilities: • Supplier selection, development and management. • Determining the cost structure for part pricing. • Demand planning for fast moving SKUs. • Bulk purchasing for warehouse stock. • Route planning and scheduling for part drivers.

Pros: Great opportunity for hands-on managerial experience
Cons: Limited room for growth

Good work experience

It has been a great experience working at German Autoworks. I have learnt a lot in finance and also administrative. My colleagues are great. I enjoyed drawing up Debtors lists as it was the most challenging part of my work but I felt good getting it done. The only issue is that there's not much guidance by management.

Cons: Poor management
