FiefhMy first experience in ait was Harry warming for me to be the only woman amongst man. The only challenge that you don't get proper training or given someone to shadow. Product knowledge is vital when you i have mameged to get my way to learn things and have always delivered the best customer service. I now know more about hardware than before. deal with customers, no one wants to appear stupid in front of a customer . hardware store.

Pros: Great start up job for people fresh out of school
Cons: Incentives is calculated way ridiculously, no caring for staff members, only that manager matters.

It is a very good company to work for I have learned a lot.

I have been a team player and team leader, I led with example. My relationship with customers are at point where I end up knowing what they normally buy even advise them. .what I like the most is I interact with clients and get to meet people with different personalities.

I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS. THE JOB GAVE ME A LOT OF CONFIDENCE THAT I THOUGHT I HAD. I ENJOY WORKING WITH PEOPLE. THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT OF THE JOB IS TO MAKE SURE MY CLIENTS ARE HAPPY AND ALWAYS COMES FIRST

Excellent learning curve

I've grown a lot in this company, It is a nice company to work. I gained a lot of knowledge from the people. I've worked and gotten to know a lot of the people. The are many different types of people here and I've gotten to know them on a work basis and personally as I became friends with many of the people here. The work experience I have gained a lot as i worked in Admin, Finance, Hr, Stock and now I am in the Risk and Management team.

Excellent learning curve

We open at 7:30 and the store gets more busy at 10am and then the stock arrives and we pack the stock help the customers and invoice their goods.I have a great relationship with them and I know them by names and when they get to the store it gives me pleasure when they ask for me to assist them because that shows me I do a great job. I have learn more about be patient as we have different customers and I’ve acquired many skills.I can’t say there are challenges because no matter what we use that challenge to learn more.

Pros: Great opportunity to further one’s career
Cons: Long working hours plus it’s a bit far for me

Excellent learning curve

I have gotten a lot of experience from the company I am with at the moment and I am a very hard worker and also a team player I know my job very well and believe that I can do anything I put my mind to.

Pros: I was employed as a picker and now I'm an all round worker now it's mostly warehouse controlling but I'm good at everything I do around a warehouse
Cons: hard work less pay

At Gelmar I was a packer I was also responsible for warehouse.

Gelmar is a great company to work for as it offers a variety of duties to learn from to help you grow as an individual and also be fully in understanding how to keep yourself in the field of retail sector.
