Excellent learning curve

An eGautrain's media relations won the International Association of Business Communication's African Gold Quill for media management. A "world class entry". At the annual Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa's PRISM Awards, Gautrain's communication received the following awards in 2011: Gold for media relations and Silver for PR in the public sector International Gold for social media Bronze for launch of a new service International Ass. of Business Comm. Gold Quill Award 2012 for the Book on Gautrain. International CineRail Film Festival: Four audio-visual projects won. One was the Phambili video that we have used as far back as the commencement of construction function in Sep 2006 and the "Story of Gautrain" - also used since 2006. The other two we used last year - the history video and the "Elements". xcellent company that makes a difference to Siuth Africa

Adapting

I enjoyed my work as it wasn't a straining one when it comes to its duties. It was an easy job not to mind doing it all day. It was fun working with my colleagues as we had good communication. I've learned alot from dealing with different clients(differentiated by their moods/characters), as my job was to do/work with customers on daily basis. Gained alot on how to treat and make customers happy(Customer service,customer satisfaction and communicating)

Pros: interacting with new people on daily basis.Developing new skills on how to deal with customers.
Cons: Early morning shifts and working on holidays

Its a big state owned company

The company itself its big.its a wellknown company in the midst of Gauteng. we ensure daily that excellent service delivery is rendered because we encounter clients, executives,vips, people from outside countries, who came here in south africa to spend their money. In all this, their safety becomes our responsibility as protection officers/ security officer,most of them they misplace their valuable staff,or carry them wherever they go. We are making a great impact, crime is highly reduced. Its also our responsibility to render positive-word-of -mouth to their countries to repeat visitation for more tourists to come and visit our country.

Cons: we work 12 hrs a day

Providing good customer services and meet the turget

working at Gautrain is the nice place to work, course we meeting different people every day and we also learn more about good customers service to serve. I always enjoying working with customers and without supervisors. we working towards meeting the provided target. Most part that I enjoy is to work with the customers.

Pros: To be promoted to be dispatch
Cons: from 4:30am to 12pm. and 11am to 20:30 pm
