Gauteng Health department Reviews

A great proffesionally grooming environment

Typical day @work having to manage patients from Emergency unit, consult those with minor ailments & chronic management, I have become proficient in being responsive to dynamic patient needs and environmental conditions. Im adventurous person who enjoys having to tackle new things, I adapt very easily in that regard because new experiences broaden my horizon. Most challenging aspect is influx and insufficient resources.

Pros: Trainings on latest health management
Cons: Barely have lunch time due to overcrowding

Excellent

It is challenging every day you learn a different thing. you work hand in hand with people, different people coming to you with problems. You need to deal with the queries and make sure they are happy and understand what you have explained to them.

Pros: no posts
Cons: too much paper work

Great learning experience

Great learning experience in various different aspects. A typical day will entail tending to in- and out-patients throughout the hospital. Other activities include giving talks to various patient groups. Student training for 6th year medical students as well as 4th yrear dietetic students. Co-workers and I typically get along very well. I have learnt a great deal regarding clinical nutrition in various settings and patient types. I most enjoyed technical work such as tube and intravenous feeding. The most challenging aspects of the job is to work within a limited resource setting.

Pros: Great experience
Cons: High stress environment
