An interesting environment

The work entails • constant acquisition of data from the internet and physical data portals, • attending stakeholder meetings, • analyses of data, • report writing, • supervision of the team, • preparation of memos and • delivering presentations. A critical part of the work is stakeholder management. This entails building and maintaining rapport with all organisations and individuals within the value chain of data acquisition and report writing. As part of this, seminars and expert discussions are usually facilitated

Pros: Opportunities to further education
Cons: Bureaucratic processes

it is a department where it allows growth on deserving individuals depending on who you closely work with. I have learnt people's skills and good interpersonal relations have improved since I get to be in contact with people from differnt organisations.

Pros: Great company for one to learn and grow

Leaning Curve

I worked as a client relations management intern, however i have been exposed to other units in the department. My typical day at work mostly involves more administrative and secretariat work. i would be assisting management with office admin and secretariat work when i am inside the office and dealing or attending to queries made by clients. If i am outside the office i would be attending CRM workshop with the CRM educational practitioners and conducting events. I work well with my fellow colleagues and enjoy working with them and meeting clients needs. The challenging aspect of my job was leaning and been good at multitasking in different units, as i would be in CRM, Registration and Licensing and later find my self tasked to work in Secretariat which i enjoyed.

Pros: Given the opportunity to learn in different units
Cons: Time

Excellent public service environment, professional and ahead of its counterparts

The department is ahead of the curve in terms of service delivery and responding to the people of the province. It continues to set the agenda for the eight other provinces in respect of programme conceptualisation and implementation. The scope is wide and allows for innovative ideas. The political interest in the communications environment enables one to interact beyond one's scope of work and the portfolio extends to five agencies.

Pros: Opportunity for promotion and growth
Cons: Lengthy planning processes

Excellent learning curve

I hereby would like to apply for an Information Technology/Systems post as advertised and I think I would make an excellent candidate for it. I have completed my National Diploma in Information Technology at University of South Africa (UNISA) 2016 and also completed MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure. I believe that my expertise and qualification in (Business Analysis, Information Systems, Programming, Databases and Server Administering) will make a valuable asset to your organization.

Pros: great opportunity for promotion
Cons: long working hours
