Wonderful exposure

In my current role as a Specialist Analyst at the Financial Services Board I enforce compliance and surveillance duties on retirement funds and their administrators to ensure that they are in compliance with the Pension funds Act of 1956 and with the funds rules. What I enjoy most about working for the FSB is that we are a regulator and look after the industry. Assisting former members of retirement funds means we are giving back to the community and making a difference in people's lives. I have learnt to be patient and to interact with people from all walks of life. I have a good relationship with co-workers, we are a team that supports and assists each other. The most challenging aspect of the job is having to deal with difficult individuals who do not understand the powers that we have as employees of the registrar.

Cons: The many roles that we have to fulfill from a divisional point of view.

Fats enviroment

I have a vast knowledge of 14 years in total, 12 years in IT 2 years as a student, working within the FSB( Financial Services Board ) -and ATNS in which time I have occupied various positions within the IT and EDD department, Indwe Risk services(insurance) which is a highly challenging and pressurized environment with high volumes and performance targets to meet and my tenacity, self motivation, results driven • Achieved projects: ERP ,SharePoint Migration from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013, System product purchase(TFS Team Foundation Server , Qlikview,Nintex ,ShareGate) •Achieved projects: Air traffic billing System, Mobile dashboards for Pilots Sale force CRM, SharePoint Migration from 2007 to 2013, ELearning using Moodle tool.

Pros: • Achieved projects: ERP ,SharePoint Migration from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013, System product purchase(TFS Team Foundation Server , Qlikview,Nintex ,ShareGate)

FSB provide oppotunities to study further. I am currently studying Psychology with UNISA

I have been working for FSB for almost 7years as a PA/Departmental Secretary. My typical work day involves, checking my emails, booking meetings and responding to queries from other departments and state holders. Managing HOD’s calendar and incoming calls. Managing travel Bookings. Assisting almost 30 staff from our department, communication and respect is the key to be able to work in a good environment and addressing issues without showing favouritism and discrimination. Ensuring that the office does not operate in silos. I am very content at my current job, hence I am looking for second job to assist with my finances. I enjoy assisting stakeholders with their queries and helping ordinary individuals with their complaints. The most challenging aspects of the job is the complaints that cannot be addressed at our office due to unregistered industries and fraudulence industries. I have learned a lot regarding financial industries.

Pros: at my current level, i can only apply for an Executive position if its available

Admin Assistant

All filling to be done correctly according to the departmental standards and on a daily basis . All faxes to be send immediately and timeously ( urgent faxes to be send immediately and ensure that transmission report is attached to document. Attend immediately to all calls . Ensure that you scrutinize the documents before capturing. Ensure that you peruse / scrutinize the documents before capturing. Check all documents for completeness and accuracy before capturing.

Pros: I am wiiling for working hard and work under presurre
Cons: Ability to work overtime and over the weekends
