Responsible for the full HR and Payroll function for +- R370 employees located on sites both within South Africa as well as cross boarder (JHB, PE, Durban, Cape Town, Lephalale, Witbank, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Kenya etc.). This function includes but is not limited to IR, Union and Labour Negotiations and Consultations, Payroll Processing and TAX Payments, BBBEE, EE, Training and Skills Development, Recruitment and Appointments, Policy Development and Implementation, Performance Management etc.

Business builder with vision

As a business developer, I have evaluated the status quo of the business in order to determine where we can modify to make it more profitable. Acquired R 180 million value of work. I am a team player and a leader. My biggest lesson has been to concentrate on relationship building, knowing that some will be difficult and others easier, but understanding every person and what their background has been in life is key. I enjoy meeting new people everyday and landing a deal but this is becoming more and more challenging due to the state of political turmoil and difficulties within South Africa due BBBEE requirements and the like. There is always hope for the future.

Pros: I can build the specialised Civil Engineering company
Cons: The employment structure does not ascertain appointment for projects in the near future.
