Fresenius-Kabi Internship Review

Dear Potential Employer I get along with my co-workers. A typical work day would be advertising of advertisements, capturing of performance reviews and performance appraisals, admin duties and a few times a week, interviews would be conducted. I have learnt a lot in my time at Fresenius-Kabi. I have witnessed things my textbooks only taught me. I witnessed a live strike action, picketing and lockout. I enjoyed observing everything my managers have to go through to get to a resolution. That was intriguing to me. The most challenging part of working was studying full-time and balancing an 8-4 job. It tested every part of me but made me realise that I love my life and I enjoy the curve balls being thrown at me. I learnt the true form of prioritising, it is IMPORTANT and time management is essential.

Pros: Exposure, Observation, Practicality, Gaining insight in the industry, relationship with co-workers.
Cons: At first it was the balancing of full-time studying with a full-time job. Feeling excluded from 'important' work. Establishing your place in the organisations culture. Taking the fall/fault for a 'team' effort unsuccessful, always trying to remember,"there is no 'I' in team"

Good learning curve

Ensure closure of internal and external actions sre closed on time as well as change controls, corrective and preventative actions. General administrative duties: ensuring overtime is submitted on time, maintaining spreadsheets for the department. To me working in a sterile pharmaceutical has been a new experience and was hoping to learn more. Due to company restructuring I have retrenced and my exit date is 31 May 2017.

Pros: None
Cons: No job stability second retrenchment since I started in May

Good working environment to work in

Busy workplace Friendly staff The company to work independently and be part of the team at the same I like the atmosphere of the workplace I work mostly indoors It is a bit far from my home since I travel everyday to work.
