My skills of working with people in general have improved.

My daily job entails working with kids by teaching them mathematics lessons. It's a 7h30 - 15h00 job that involves management, staff and parents meetings in between. My daily activities would ensure that school programs are implemented and everyone is held accountable to their actions. Performance of results is the most important element in the industry, hence it's very important to establish good and sound working relationships with my co-workers. Good lessons learnt are that regular staff motivations are important to uplift the morale and spirit of workers. I enjoy most working with younger generation as they exude energy and zeal, and always have new innovations and ideas to challenges. The most challenging aspects of the job is to always deal with issues of discipline among both learners and teachers alike.

Pros: Great opportunities for promotion, also improves your management and leadership qualities
Cons: Long, tiring working hours

Splendid development for graduates

Free State Department of Education is a good starting point for graduates to gain knowledge and experience. The standard of professionalism is up to standard. However, the challenging part is dealing with overcrowding in classes and older students in a grade. Throughout that I acquire skills such as team playing, time management and risk management.

Pros: Opportunity to mold few minds from previously disadvantaged communities.
Cons: Lack of resources such as books and chemicals

A typical 7:30 to 16:00 business day, with normal overtime as per demand of work at hand,.

- a fieldworker position with only 40% in the office and the rest out at schools and district offices; training, monitoring and evaluating processes as well as examination systems. - excellent relationship with colleagues as we work interdependently - had to adapt to working under pressure with sensitive material (question papers and candidates' scripts) - talking and motivating learners, talking to teachers and principals about exam systems as well as talking to colleagues and departmental officials - working overtime as a result of being goal-orientated, zero tolerance with relations to sensitive material (question papers and scripts) that we handle on a daily basis

Pros: interaction with all stakeholders involved in the examination systems
Cons: overtime

Hardworker. Smart. Focused. Strategic Thinker

Great goverment deparyment to work. Allows for one to make meaningful impact in the lives of stakeholders (Clients and Service Providers). Different challenges daily but certainly worth facing. One can't be a weak personality in this post. Greatest challenge is the ability to say No when necessary to do so. A huge number of personel to work with, and pepple are difficult. Ability to navigate out of situation without offending others is one of tge greatest lessons provided by this environment.

Pros: Great Environment to work in
Cons: Unnecesary Polittucs
