Excellent Learning Enviroment

Working at fragrance boutique my shift will start of at 1pm and end at 9pm as that is the retail hours. My typical day would start off by counting all the stock quickly and accurately. This have to be done in order to relieve my manager who is about leave her shift. I have an excellent relationship with my co-workers who are pleasant and lovely to work with. I have very excellent working relationship with all my co-workers. Part of my job has to do with selling perfume but a larger part of admin work as well. What i enjoyed the most is learning and developing more skills. The most challenging i found was learning to deal with difficult customers.

Great company, learned alot. They look after us, they always try their best to accomodate us in any way possible. Always pushing you to do your best and motivating you to succeed in life.

Thought me alot about the industry

I grew in Fragrance Boutique but better opportunies await. No place to climb in the business. No other oppotunities to prove oneself. I started as a sales assistant and looked over the mmanagers shoulder. When she got a better position i knew exactly what to do.

Pros: Staff are a breeze to work with
Cons: No oppotunity to grow

Opportunity of a life time

It is a life time opportunity being a supervisor you get to order and receive stock. Allocating the hour's for the sales assistant e.g roster and timesheet. Count the stock starting and ending of the shift making sure the is no stock loss. Making sure each an every sale us captured correctly on the IQ system and the store is clean be opening and closing time. The stock balances the are no pending or outstanding stock. Banking, Admin is done on a daily basis. Cash ups done end of every shift. Making sure sales were rung up correctly card as card and cash as cash. End of day has been done.

Excellent learning curve

Admin duties, invoicing (clerk), filling, answering the phone to help co-workers. I have learnt how to invoice on Pastel/SAGE and Jobsys. The relationship with the co-workers is what I enjoy the most or client's positive feedback. No challenges.

Pros: I received a promotion within 3 months of working.
Cons: Working on the weekend.

Learning curve

Was a great learning experience enjoyed working with my staff. Customer service skills admin was a big roll for me and gave me excellent skills enjoyed helping the customers store target was a great challenge I had a great relationship with my co works and head office staff.

Excellent learning curve

I opened the Kiosk, setup computer, checked emails. Created Time sheets on Excel, Staff Performance Reviews. Ensured smooth running of daily operations, Implemented Staff disciplinary procedures. Email and telephone correspondence Monthly managers meeting with monthly financial reports. Daily Banking, ordering of stock, Reaching Sales targets, Customer Service. Maintaining model stocks, stock counts and controls, resolving all customer issues in store. My two workers and I had a very good understanding working relationship. I learnt many managerial duties. I enjoyed my whole work experienced with both products and clients. Most challenging can be dissatisfied customers or head office not supporting our requests.

Cons: Working fall-out shifts
