Excellent learning curve

I'm young and vibrant and I started retail as my 1st job I've learned a lot from it, working with clients everyday and I enjoyed it. I always strive to do my best and always is willingness to go the extra for the clients I'm self motivated as I have skills in customer service always. I love interacting with people I'm very friendly and outspoken. I'm always focused on my work. I'm eager to work and I'm a fast learner. We always worked as a team helping each other to reach our target and always made sure our store made target. That was a motivation for us colleagues working together. We all worked well together and I enjoyed it . I've learnt a lot from my Co workers ,working under pressure,solving problems,how to deal with a difficult customer phoning other stores ordering items,cash ups etc

Decent place to work no area for improvement

The store was fairly small and only certain individuals were placed at till points and did tasks such as stock taking. The junior staff were mainly there for customer service and cleaning. The store did not look at developing their staff and I did not think there was any room for self improvement or to attain a better position in the company. This was the complete opposite to when I had worked at Forschini who was a group that thrived on staff development. It was a bit difficult to work with certain individuals as there was a great deal of competitiveness, overall I did manage to get along with some individuals but chose to mainly keep to myself as I am not one for drama. The biggest learning curve for me was having to deal with difficult and frustrated customers while staying calm and collected. I thoroughly enjoyed the launch days when our new fashion lines were launched. It was very challenging having to work with such big and extreme personalities without losing myself.

Pros: Self development in dealing with difficult customers as most of them were of the higher salary bracket
Cons: Long working hours, cleaning the store as opposed to having designated individuals employed to do this and far too much of a competitive environment which was not very condusive for young woman wanting to find their passion.

Great promotions if you are hardworking and meet company standards. Treat staff very well

A typical work day is,getting to work ,dusting fixtures housekeeping and replenishment. Discussing the days target and budget with my staff and assisting customers. I work well with my staff sometimes they feel offended when i delegate as i am younger then they are. I have learnt alot about administration customer needs and great customer service. I enjoy making money for the company.,running my own little department and profit profit profit!. The challenges i face are stockloss due to theft and not reaching monthly target in a quiet month.

Pros: Meeting new people, learning about what pleases customers making a profit and being noticed for hard work and possibly getting a promotion
Cons: Long working hours,bad tempered customers, not reaching company target and stockloss

Excellent customer service

I am able to work long hours, get along well with my team we coroperate well, i have learnt that satisfying a customer in a very neat area makes the customer leave with happiness and that with just a smile you make someone's day better, i enjoy doing my job because i love interacting with people and i get to deal with lots of different people per day...

Will appreciate the opportunity given to grow

I would like to become more then a manger if I would be given a chance to grow as am a fast learner and always willing to assist and I ask questions if I don’t understand something am always hands love new challenges because they are a good opportunity for a person to learn

Pros: The are great opportunity for growth but they very slow
Cons: I work 8:30 to 6:00 Monday to Friday ,Saturday 8:30 till 17:00 ,Sunday 8:30 till 15:00

Excellent learning curve

I enjoyed working with my colleagues we all got along and worked together as a team. On a everyday basis I worked with clients helping them with what they need. Ordering items cashing up and handling the storeroom what I enjoyed most is when working hard there's always a reward for commitment and dedication. Getting incentives and making target for the store as well as yourself. I've learnt a lot on how to deal with difficult clients

Excellent learning experience, gives you confidence, keeps you in check at all times.

Forever new is a company of challenges, confidence builder and alot of smiles. You have to be a happy go lucky person or understand your expectations from clients/ customers in order to work in retail. The company trains you on the latest fashion and explains who you are in the company and what you stand for. Rewards are given to those with the ability to show own initiatives or how much money can be made, which determines your customer service. First impressions Last long and if the anything is done right the first time, the correct way. Rewards will be earned endlessly.

Pros: Room for promotion, the experience to be not only a sales associate but a stylist.
Cons: Long working hours.

Creative thinker

Creative thinking have always given me an edge in life, allowing me to solve problems and provide positive outcomes. Daily duties include administration, management of team and the store. Our main focus is sales for an upmarket clientele and brand.I am a fast learner who has learnt to keep up to date daily with any given task and to provide quality service. I have a strong work ethic. I love working with the customers and building relationships. It can be difficult at times to maintain positivity in a group or team but it is crucial when working with others to remain professional and encourage a healthy working environment. Communication and respect are key.

Excellent Learning Curve - Challenge

I had a excellent relationship with my Team/well respected - delegated tasks with ease. I have a passion to work with People - and thrived to uplift, not only my team, but everyone I came across daily, whether Head Office or Customers Challenging aspect of my job was, taking initiative with marketing and finding solutions on how to grow business - at times with no guidance - but I proved myself, and results was given The Retail Hours are tough especially if you had team members resigning having to cover their shifts as a, Branch Manager whilst still focusing and not neglecting your Administration.

Pros: Great Opportunity to grow from Branch Manager to Assistant Regional Manager
