Working at Ford was a great experience, getting exposure on multiple tasks.
We're a very small team that deals and liaise with all the supplier from locally (RSA) and overseas. my relationship with co-worker is extremely good because of the nature of our work, we have to have a "working together spirit". We have a job that require us to be reactive because quality problems occur all the time. I have learnt that 10 heads are better than one and we achieve more with team work, I also enjoy learning new things like, using machinery to check parts (the strengths, density, dimensions, etc) and reading drawings. It is more challenging for me because it is out of my field of study but I enjoy learning and challenging myself with new things. We're working many days and hours to make sure we complete our jobs and even though we try, we get even more work especially if we're launching a new car. we're always on our feet always solving problems, always thinking of how to fix this and that to make our jobs more easier and effective.
Pros: Exposures to different areas of learning and training.
Cons: Long working hours and no other opportunities for growth.

Work at Ford
Working for FMCSA has improved my people management skill in that here I work with a high number of people I manage. I learn how to endure consistent pressure. My colleagues also learn from me. I enjoy coaching team members and team leaders who aspire to see themselves where I currently am. The most challenging aspects of my job is to get the expected target irrespective of the constraints outside my control.
Pros: Glass ceiling is way higher than in all my previous employers.
Cons: Long working hours
