A day in the office I would be reviewing inspection reports of team members and drafting my inspection reports while attending internal meetings. My relationship with team members is on a level of treating each other as equals engage me and raise they views where they differ with my opinion. However with other co-workers is on a professional level. I have learnt that some senior official do not like their decision or comments questioned even where it is a question which is a fact or point of law. I enjoy my team the most, we deliberate on issues and have discussions on areas where they learn from me and I also learn from them. The most challenging part of my job is working and professional ethics. I plan my time and work, lots of meetings and tasks come as a priority while deemed as urgent. Always one end up juggling between planned and unplanned tasks while the person giving the tasks knew in advance about the tasks.

Very good learning curve
It is a good environment to learn and strengthen areas you are not confident in. A typical day comprises of meetings about the various projects in the organisation as well as working on tasks assigned at you as an individual. The people are very friendly and always willing to assist. Most of the time I work independently, and that has given me an opportunity to work harder and be accountable for my work. So far, there is nothing that is challenging me at the moment.

There's potential for growth and because it's a parastatal, no retrenchment stress.
Great organization to work for especially in the junior phases, very great at grooming. The culture is quite reserved and there is potential for growth. If your attitude is right you can go far because the culture cultivates a positive attitude.
Pros: No retrenchment stress
Cons: No paid overtime or 13th cheque, only yearly performance bonus which is 60% salary.
