Good company with good benefits. Get well with colleagues. Good vision and mandate. The company has more younger employees, and accommodate 10 inter a year for 12 month period. It is mandated to protect children and educate the public for viewership and age ratings.

Good

Everything is good. Everyone treats employees equal regardless of what position you are in. My contract ends in the 10th of November 2020 and it has been a great experience working at film and publication board.

This was an excellent learning curve about leading an organization.

This was my first chance to develop strategy and new policies to take the organization to higher performance levels. We were able to achieve the first clean audit for the organization since its inception 21 years ago. The organizational culture was toxic and the morale was low. We had to develop a change management plan to engender a high visibility, high performance culture.

Pros: Formulating strategy and developing new relevant policies to enhance the performance of the organization.
Cons: Very long working hours, tight deadlines and too much travel.

Pros: Opportunity to contribute to the South African policy making environment
Cons: Travelling and convincing industry
