FCA South Africa Reviews

Excellent Learning Curve

It was a huge learning curve working for an international company that keeps different working hours. Working for a company that is very target driven can push a person to meet short deadlines and gives you a lot of learning on the job experience. Working with different cultures and languages also teachers one to acknowledge differences and patience especially listening to someone whose first language is not English and they battle to get their message across.

Pros: Great opportunity for travel
Cons: Long working hours

Good learning curve

As a small dealership there’s still a long way to go for the business to grow. The dealership only started operating in 2016 with a new brand into the market and and there’s a lot of competition in the Trucking industry.

Pros: Meeting new people
Cons: Only 1 sales executive in the dealership

Lessons to be learnt

The working hours are a lot longer than you would be led to believe during the interview process. No salary increases in more than six years, more for those that have been with the company longer. Head office does not understand the local market and wants to dictate how the work should be done locally when they are out of touch with the market.

Pros: Access to latest automotive products
Cons: No salary increases for more than 6 years
