Frustrating Faurecia
Working at Faurecia was most frustrating and agonising. Their systems are cumbersome and it is design to police which is in line with archaic quality control methods. The modern world aims for Quality Assurance and Total Quality Management methodologies. The most enjoyable aspect of the work are the shopfloor personnel with their friendly disposition.
Pros: Great area to learn surfing skills.
Cons: Getting pestered after hours and all round the clock weekends with production, breakdowns or quality issues.

All in a days work
A typical working day is normally 8am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, however I am required to work extra hours to complete additional tasks that was given. I have a good and pleasant working relationship with my co-workers. We share a common goal and that is to contribute to the success of the department and the company. We work hard and we crack a few jokes during the day to ease some of the tension. Our Senior management is mainly French as this is a French owned company. being in the Automotive industry, I have gained valuable knowledge on exhaust systems as well as tooling. Before coming to Faurecia, I was mainly in Credit Control. Here I have a dual function, Balance Sheet Reconciliations as well as Debtors Control with a Debtors book of about R 1b. One of the most challenging aspects of my job is that I have 2(two) managers that I report to, Debtors as well as Finance manager and in most cases there are no communications between the two and expect deadlines to be met, even if its the same day.
Pros: I am currently contracting and there is a prospect of becoming permanant in the coming future as i am currently performing work of 2 people.
Cons: When every one have a deadline and everything you have been assigned need to be done as in yesterday.

I AM ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE

Vast experience
Working at faurecia is challenging as it entails high demands. In a matrix structured organization it is requires a person to report to direct and in direct senior managers. The majority of the staff are new and inexperienced which calls for coaching, reviewing of proposals and guiding in order to build a competent team. In my year at the company i have worked in the maintenance department as im a qualified tradesman, manufacturing ( process engineering), project management and in the new product launch department. I was part of the migration team to implement SAP and thrrefore a key user for masterdata. I wear more than one hat as i support SAP activities related to masterdata, process engineering, maintenance when required, program management and coach and guide the launch team to successful launches.

Good learning curve
General HR administration: Time management (SAP and clock-ins) Draft letters , processes and procedures Responsible for making meeting and travel arrangements Recruitment and Staffing: advertising, shortlisting, interviews and making offers Prepare new starter documentation and personnel record file and arrange for induction of new employees. Daily HR reporting (absenteeism, overtime and headcount)

Certificate of Service being Motor industry
I m being in the Motor industry Bargaining Council for long time as an operator. Experience lots of things , how to fix the mahines and the basic of the company dure to safety, quality and quatite . Most of the company the is pressure, because you have to deliver work on time and for the best for employed working together as a team. In industry I being working, we were welding building convert for cars to purify the earth. Was hurd because we have to different shift and buld stock.

Production supervisor
I am working as a production supervisor I am a hard working person, I had been promoted from operator to gap leader last 2 years and later I was promoted from gap leader to production supervisor I am hoping to be the plant manager in the future which is my goal. I validate PRODUCTION,AUDIT PRODUCTION,I CREAT STARNDARD based on the control plan I ensure that good quality production is supplied to the customer and on time. I have a good relationship with my team that makes me much stronger or perfect on doing my job. The most challenging part on my job is that you have to give fit back to all levels of management with facts and data, the rule is you don't report problems you give solution to the problems affecting the production line, you need to have a plan to improve the production.

Things i enjoy
I work independently but i enjoy team work and cross training,on daily basis i do production coverage manufacture spares andd PM .I personaly like to learn new stuff to expand or develop my knowledge i am a good listner from all kinds of people shop floor to mansgers.I like new challenges different problems to solve, i bealive if we work as a team we will achive a lot than working in different directions or wanting to be credited as an individual unless its small individual tasks

Excellent learning curve
It is definatly a place were one can learn. The work environment is fast past and tough but I believe this builds character. People that work there are great and the process that are in place are easy to fully understand. I have learnt a vast amount of SAP in the time that I have been at faurecia as well as core value for the work enviroment I enjoy problem solving with in the SAP system as well as root cause analysts. The biggest challenge I have is I am looking for a now adventure and would like for it to be in a new company as I would like to further my knowledge.
