• Welcoming guests in a polite, friendly and helpful manner. • Managing all activities related to check-in of guests. • Checking out departing guests using the hotel opera system, taking payment from guests using the hotel opera system in the form of credit card or cash. • Fulfilling switchboard duties. Transferring calls to the correct person in the shortest time possible. • Balance cash float issued and complete banking procedures on a daily basis • Checking function sheets and keeping to date on all hotel products. • Updating guests profiles • Maintain accurate filing systems with regards to pits, pit checks, emergency reports and checklists. • Adhere to credit limits and obtain authorizations on arrival from guests. • Making Restaurant (Food and Beverage) bookings for guests via Guest Connect

Beautiful place to work in

Waitressing requires you to be always polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers and guest. Being an excellent team player goes hand in hand of getting the job done. You should have thorough understanding of the menu, food offerings and contents. Maintaining high customer service and standards is one the most important thing in the business. What I enjoy most is meeting people from different countries, hosting of big events were you got to meet people with big names (celebrities). Gained somuch information about food and beverages Customer service The only challenge about the job is when you've been let down by a co-worker not showing up at work it put pressure on everyone but at end of the day we deliver.

It teaches you alot of things and the systems are user friendly

helping my guest with basic enquires and also having the patience and being calm dealing with difficult guests. Learning to deal with difficult colleagues that are not team players because we have to work together so that we can get the job done. Really enjoy interacting with different people everyday and learning new things from people that make you a better person at work and as a whole.

Pros: gives me the opportunity to grow and learn new things
Cons: Standing for 8 to 9 hour striaght without sitting down and taking your lunch break

Excellent experience

Working at Fancourt has bren an amazing and experience because you get to meet witg different guests from all walks of life anf you learn to adapt to every culture. It is very challenging at the same time beacause you dealing with different cultures and have to make every guest feel welcome and acknowledged. The co-workers are supportive anf are able to work as a team. I enjoy working there most because they delegate work so you can learn to do all the work and know the company better everyday.

One of the most extreme working conditions , experience is needed to survive at fancourt

working here , you need to work very well with the staff you have to do your admin concentrate on daily functions report on a monthly base to the Hotel Manager responsible for beverage stock takes responsible for Operating equipment conduct weekly training sessions Do reservations on SAP system. most challenging part is working with big groups like ,DIMENSION DATA where you need to be on the ball.
