Fairfield Tours Reviews

Excellent opportunities.

I started out at fairfield TOURS as a general assistant to the entire company in any department where assistance was needed. I worked myself up to Department Manager level within 4 years and become the youngest member of senior management consiting out of 10 members incl. 4 x EXCO members. My typical day included running the GROUPS department but focusing more on domestic and international sales and marketing road shows and to ensure all logistical operational work are in place for the requirements of our clientele and tours. To this day I have great relationships with past and current colleagues and I have learnt that travel and tourism is more than just leisure but requires many skills from various sectors in order for a product and group travel to be successful.

Pros: Great opportunity to meet people and increase your people skills and marketing. Every conversation includes a sales pitch or requires relationship building.
Cons: No room for growth at fairfield tours.

Good company to work for if you are starting out in travel and tourism.

The work culture was very balanced and conducive to productivity. The people working at the company are were very friendly. The company had flexible work times in order to accommodate the employees. One of the only issues that I had with the company was that they did not work on using a system, we mainly worked and used excel for all our day-to-day tasks.

Pros: Excellent benefits
Cons: Minimal opportunity for promotion
