Excellent learning curve and pressure handling and multi tasking

Dairy industry has proven to be one of the most challenging industry in the food production sector and with a shorter shelf life and a micro issues involved, it has given me a greater appreciation of the industry and better understanding of the microbiological side of the products. With a lot of pressure from production and ensuring that food safety is not compromised, thia keeps one on toes and decision making has to be done in time and the right calls to be made. This has given me a lot of appreciation of the industry and l am grateful of the exposure.

Pros: Great opportunity for problem solving learning and decision making.
Cons: Being far from my fiancè has been a pain as one also nedda the support closer.

Seeking new challenges

• To provide testing service to production, by preforming all microbiological tests on the final products, in- process QC monitoring samples and the factory to monitor compliance with food safety and environmental hygiene and sanitation standards. • Prepare micro lab for all testing for the day • Weekly listeria monitoring are conducted as per roster for specific areas • Assist with the implementation of SANAS System to qualify for accreditation • Ensure that all administration are as per standards required • Ensure that all housekeeping, safety and health standards are maintained at all times • Participate in the MDWT initiatives to create a high performance and continuous improvement environment
