FADT is great company with massive lot of employees, one can learn and grow in the company

monitoring we enjoy company of one another because i believe this is where we spend lot of our living time, however when its storm time i just feel like those alarms just ring easily, i hope they can be better so that we be able to handle those are in need of help at time because we taking long to respond let alone to phone clients not that we just asleep or doing nothing but running the highest influx of signals. find that we running 10 000 signals on one storm. i have learned that working with emergency you focus should always be on what you doing as dealing with peoples lives, i enjoy most when am working night shift, however i wish hours can be reduced and have 4 shifts, or rather work 2 day 2 nights then 4 off, just like SAPS does, they get enough rest to be able to deal with emergency, we get challenges when client swear at us because of phoning late while we are busy, when we responding late, clients really gives us hard time

Pros: is working yourself up. hard working showing interest in other duties, like now i am always hand in hand with all that i know i can do, like helping control room with IT duties during the night day shift weekend, as i know i am super great with troubleshooting
Cons: not advertising internal post of IT, internships and other departments, not allowing us to study at other departments, if they can give us opportunity to express ourselves they will never go far when they need people in other departments, control room got degrees and diplomas, i wish they introduce freelance

Learning experince

I gained a vast experience in the company I am working for. I got involved in Human resource matters that suit my qualifications and I am looking for to exercise my qualifications as Labour law practitioner/Employee relations or labour relations. I have a good relation with my co workers and i always offer them free advise if they need. I even give some of my managers advise when they approach me for labour related matters. I Enjoy chairing hearings and attending the CCMA (Conciliations and arbitrations) The most challenging at my current job is service delivery to paying clients which i think it needs a strict discipline to staff engaged to the job.

Pros: There are great opportunity for the job promotion as there rank structures
Cons: The hours are long but that is the nature of the job and industry.
