This has truly been an eye opener

working at Fact has been a real eye opener. i started off with no real direction but because i found myself in the area of the recruitment consultants and because no one was really taking an interest in the recruitment consultants, i picked up an advisory role to the recruitment team. We got along very well as they were happy to receive any direction and to be guided. A few weeks later this became a designated role. The team of recruiters eventually resigned and i was left with one brand new recruiter. 3 months later a new recruiter was brought on board - a specialist to do business development - 2 weeks later she was given the entire Talent acquisition port folio. 3 days later i went into hospital and returned 2 months later only to find out that my position has become redundant. what i learnt is that you have to cover your back and if you are not physically present the knives are out for you.

Pros: great opportunity to refresh my hr knowledge
Cons: long working hours; coniving; distrustful environment
