Personal Assisstant and Office Administrator

I was retrenched in the position of HR Generalist (Jnr Management) on 31 March 2015. I was not able to secure work in the Human Resources environment and took the job as a personal assistant at EXCO Services - Gauteng. This was an excellent learning curve. I can now add creditors, debtors, statements, invoicing and general office work to my experience. I get along with the staff and enjoy the new field of working with the environment. I would love to grow and learn more but because of the size of the Company, there is no scope for development. I would love to get back into the Human Resources arena and to use my experience and knowledge gained in Human Resources. Thank you for your time. Elmari Fraser

Pros: My current job is stress free and I love the people I work with
Cons: Salary is very low and because I am single I battle to cope with my expenses. No room for promotion or growth in this position.

Good learning curve and opportunity to gain more skills

Good morning I started at EXCO Services during September 2015 after I was retrenched in the position of H R Generalist at Coal Mine close to Ogies. Moving totally out of my well-known environment (HR), I started as a PA and Office administrator at my current Employer. I find the work stimulating and interesting. Our total staff complement is 7 people and I have a good relationship with all. This position gave me the opportunity to gain experience and skills in a office administrative environment.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn new skills
Cons: No chance for promotion

Office Administrator and Personal Assistant

I was retrenched in the position of H R Generalist. Working in my current position was a learning curve for me which I enjoyed very much. The staff is like family members and we get along just fine! Unfortunately the line of Administrator is not part of my completed studies and I would love to move back to a H R oriented environment if possible.

Pros: Good, loving, family members to work with
Cons: No promotion to more senior positions
