Excellent Meat Packers Reviews

Excellent Learning Curve

I learned a lot at previous company. I Started as a packer in 1997 and worked my way up to being a Receiving Clerk, Despatch Clerk, Invoice Clerk, doing Sales and Stock Control. i had left the company in 2006 to focus on my family as i just had a baby. I went back to Excellent in 2014 and started doing the capturing of GRV,s. Within a year i started doing Creditors recons and in no time i had over 70 Creditors i had to pay every month. Excellent gave me loads of opportunity to grow and I appreciate everything i learned.I had a good relationships with all my co-workers. The most challenging aspects of the job was Supplier Queries.

Pros: Great Opportunity for growth
Cons: Not having to take leave when it was due.

Excellent learning curve

Get to work in the morning at 6h00 to do planning for the day. When staff start at 7h00 I get engaged in production set-up based on the staff at work. At 8h00 I start planning for the following day by pulling all stock sheets and to determine the aging of our matured steaks. At 09h00 I meet with the plant manager to give feedback on all production issues. From 10h00 till 15h00 I assist with production queries and manage production flows. From 15h00 till 17h00 is based on planning for the following day and the rest of the week.

Pros: Definate chance for growth
Cons: inconsistancy of raw material delivery
