Newly formed Formation, therefore challenging

It is new formation in the SANDF dealing with Infrastructure maintanence! It is called Defence Works Formation! It is a very challenging environment since normal military language and practices do not apply. It is equally exciting since a person learn new skills of project management! It is in general a learning opportunity! Daily work is all about monitoring of budget flows of Corporate Payments in relation to projects done by Department if Public Works.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn new skills.
Cons: Build Environment is challenging, especially when it is a new Concept in the SANDF.

Best experience ever

Typical work day - lot of rigging Relationship with co-workers - we always start on new slate after a daunting task. We are close to each other. I have learned to identify my blind spot I enjoyed nothing because there is no weekend or holiday Working at high with heavy loads

Perfect learning curve

Stripping the turbine compressors, Rolling bearings and couplings Fault findings on pumps and valves Pressure testing using pneumatics methods Changing strainers, filters Daily plant walk down Reading drawings Taking measurements

Cons: Toleated working hours
