maintenance fitter responsible for plant maintenance on conveyor belts, ash handling plant ( sludge , sumps ,chemical dosing, v-belts, gear, water pumps) confine spaces. feeders, idlers; bearings; valves including installations of actuator, plant modifications including pump station and water plant. also authorised as a plant responsible person in terms of Eskom plant safety regulations responsible for application of permits to work; ensuring that the plant required to work is safe; conducting risk assessment prior work commence, supervising staff by explaining to them the hazards and dangers associating with the task to be perform on a specific plant testing of the plant and reinstating of the plant after service. Give advices on operating personnel's on plant status and operating
