Excellent learning curve and still willing to learn more

Drawing (Designing LV & MV HVAC Network Control Panel and MCC schematic drawings using EPLAN Electric P8 – my schematic drawings include supplying, monitoring and controlling of electrical equipment such as fan/ motor, heater, humidifier, temperature sensors, damper, airflow switch, etc). Preparing the cable schedule, Creating points list, creating cause and effects matrix (principle of operation for the panel under the normal running condition, fire condition, smoke exhaust (break glass unit) and emergency cooling), ordering and tracking deliveries, ensuring that mechanical and electrical drawings matches, preparing data book for factory and site acceptance test. Manufacturing panels using (Distech Controls), Checking chassis layout against the drawing, doing QC based on SANS and client’s specification, Point to point check. Leading the factory acceptance test (FAT) inspection.

Excellent

I am currently doing HVAC commissioning. My day to day basis include air balancing and water balancing. Previously I was doing service, repairs and maintained and all HVAC units on sites. I enjoy team work and have learnt a lot on this job.

Pros: Learning different things always

Manage 11 teams, writing reports - management. Good with co-workers. Installation of Piping, HVAC

I have overall learnt a lot from my company, and have enjoyed working for them. Down fall is working weekends when it is not a necessity. No support from Top Management in HQ and Management putting the employees down. Management receiving false information from past employees and accusing you of not knowing what you are doing.

Pros: Opportunity to learn new aspects of the construction world, and strive for promotion
Cons: Working over weekends, not have the support from Head Office main management

Nice company to work for. The owners are amazing people but Management lack leadership skills. Our department is like a family. I enjoy solving customers queries more than anything. Nothing makes my day than a happy customer.

Summary

As a Draftsman, my objective is to contribute to the company’s success by producing the most accurate and feasible illustrations for the projects assigned to me. My experience as a Draftsman in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry broadened my knowledge and enhanced my skills in creating and modifying drawings using the latest technologies. I am eager to learn and further my proficiencies by constantly improving my work and accepting all kinds of assignments handed out to me. Excellent learning curve

Ref:CTE019707 Envitoware construction is a HVAC company that work with tenders. My role was to design single line drawings using EPLAN software from the specification given by a client and work together with the drafting and mechanical engineer. Once the drawing design is approved, the next step is to build a panel and test its functionality. The next step, I conduct factory acceptance test (FAT) inspection before sending the panel to the client.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Very long would hours
