My career journey to date
I have been working with my current employer from 2013. I worked as an executive assistant for the first 4 years, I was then promoted to head the marketing department which now has a team of 2 interns. There has been great challenges and accomplishments under this portfolio and that has contributed to molding and shaping me into the marketing and communication specialist. a typical day at the office is fast paced and chasing deadlines. I report to the Executive once a month and top the Marketing Director every 2 weeks, so i action tasks assigned to my department and also prepare for bi-weekly or monthly reporting. I oversee the events, marketing, social media, public relations and sponsorship in the firm. The most challenging aspects of the job has to be executing most of the work with a team of interns and prioritizing protecting the brand from any form of scrutiny in the eyes of the public. also planning for all communications in time for such a fast paced company.

Good learning curve
Typical work day insists of performing data analysis depending on the scope. Great relationships with my co-workers and management. I've learned a lot of leadership skills and picked up on some business acumen. I enjoy the culture, I enjoy my line of work in data analytics. I enjoy interacting with my clients. The most challenging aspect of the job would be the time frames. Usually have to work efficiently with limited time.

Excelent opportunity to grow
its a good working relationship within the team but other works mates they gossip about other people I have leant not to things to heart but always remain professional irregadles of what is being to me if it is hurtful I enjoys working with the team which understand the deliverable of the project,the client who does not understand what they want

There no learning curve
Reviewing the accuracy and completeness of tender documentation in line with documented processes and procedures. Assessing the appropriateness of the tender award against applicable procedures. Managing asset verification to ensure the existence of assets that are in the asset register. Preparation of reports to management. Reviewing management reports prepared by subordinates. Testing the accuracy and completeness of revenue recognized. Managing team efficiencies through review of time-sheet and disbursements claims and ensuring recovery of costs from the relevant areas. Performing quality control on reports to ensure completeness.
