My day to day job include logging into the Emerson monitoring system and run a diagnostics to check if the customers systems are still in good operational settings,if they are any deviations I correct them,if the systems need maintenance or repair ,a log request is sent to the services team to render the service. I also do software integration on existing software platform to integrate extension of systems/DC power plants I work with customers on monitoring related issues I work with a team of service engineers and commissioning engineers the challenging part of my job is when i have to resolve a problem that the customer does not even understand how it occurred and where it comes from and the customer will have a tight lead time for the problem to be resolved,this requires me to run a trace analysis on the entire system to see where the fault originates from,it requires passion and a good mind of engineering analysis.

Pros: great chance of promotion
Cons: working extra hours

I gained international exposure

Working for Emerson gave an opportunity to work and interact with the African customers.I got to learn firsthand how to work in an environment where verbal communications was minimal to non-existent. I cherish very much the difficulty of doing business in Africa.energy market.

Pros: Emerson is a global manufacturing company.
Cons: Long travel hours between the African customers and language barriers.

Site Work Programme

We should work friendly , peaceful and in discipline at site with workers. Quick and good decision taken by a supervisor for facilities in troubleshootings.HSE & Safety knowledge with PTW training for good works. We should use a good tools and tackles at site. Sound knowledge of working environment. Good and exact site reporting to engineers and manager. Keep the worker timesheet and maintain for the workers daily duty.All the site records maintain as soft and hard copies.

Pros: Good company for the employee because lots of opportuinity is present here.
Cons: It is a deemed organization and good opportuinity here.
