Experience gained

Enjoyed going to work everyday.One of the early bird arriving at work early and leaving when everyone is gone.My job will start by having 5 man meeting with cashier, credit manager,assistant manager and admin manager.Sharing with them what is expected from them and how asking them if there is any urgent thing that we need to take care for the day like deliveries,complaints ,customers or documents to be send to head office or any thing to be done for that particular day.Delegating the duties.From there I spend time with the sales team and that was my typical day and the rest is history.I learned to prioritize my work,delegate and accountability.I enjoyed making profit and breaking the target.The most challenging aspect of my job was every the beginning of each month,every month is different and we must be one step ahead at all times.

Pros: Very fulfilling
Cons: You must put extra hours to get it right

Excellent learning curve

Received lots of internal training on handling customers,telephone etiquette, follow up, petty cash handling, staff training and management, cashup and banking, bank reconciliations, debtors maintenance and stock invoicing to stock take.

• Purchase inventory by researching emerging products; anticipating buyer interest; negotiating volume price breaks; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. • Attract customers by originating display ideas; following display suggestions or schedules; constructing or assembling prefabricated display properties; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases, and on sales floor. • Promote sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers. • Help customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery. • Prepare sales and customer relations reports by analysing and categorizing sales information; identifying and investigating customer complaints and service suggestions.

Pros: i like their working hour and the salary structure
Cons: its only 8 hour
