Electrolux S.A is a small but dynamic Sales division. I work cross functionally with all departments and operational im involved in every aspect of the business. As a small company you need to understand the workings of each department and support where needed. I work closely with the Financial Controller and MD at an Executive level to support day to day running and decision making. As much as we have set daily tasks, meetings reporting requirements, it’s the unforeseen crisis management, decision making that gets my blood going. The reason why I’m in operations. When I started I had to put in place process and structure to support business growth and stability. I look after the following departments: IT, Inbound & Outbound Logistics, 3PL Management, Order desk, Receptionist, cleaning lady and anything that’s broken needs ordering or planning my team is involved. Coming into the office is a pleasure and I never feel like dragging my feet when I walk in.

Customer service curve

The environment is not really vibey as it is a firm. It is situated in a remote area as well. However, the experience I have received so far is impeccable. It has taught me how to deal with irate clients and be able to calm them down and up with a solution on a first time call resolution.

Pros: Great learning curve
Cons: Long working hours, low salary , so may tasks to complete in a day.

I am currently in a temp position after a retrenchment.

The company is not bad, the people are not friendly. I have learnt a lot, people are unsure of what to do. Lots of micro management taking place. People think you are going to take their jobs. Work is a bit monotonous. I enjoy the canteen managers not too great

Excellent learning

I am a very hard worker and fast learner. I do not have matric, but my experience that I have gained through my working career is more than have a matric.
