Excellent learning curve

Something new ive experienced at this company i loved working there the hours are good especially on fridays work keeps me on my toes and people at headoffice very helpful and friendly making my job easier. Everyone at our branch gets along well and knows there job and do what they must.

Pros: Great bonuses
Cons: Communication in company isnt always there

Great simulation

Early mornings every day starts with a team meeting jobs are handed out and problems are noyed and addressed. Family like environment and a really good learning experience of what to expect if you work or manage a job on your own. Women in the workshop have it hard but fitting in can be done. The only issue is the ancient afrikaans idea of women only doing certain jobs and that really outs a limit on anyone trying to progress in their field. Other wise overall besides the normal workplace politics it is a nice place to work at but not the best place to be if you are an acheiver.

Pros: Great training ground for all fields
Cons: Long working hours and old traditional outlooks

Depot service manager

A typical work day is extremely stressful, I have a good working relationship with the majority of my co-workers and have learnt to deal with a diverse customer base, I enjoy the customer the customer interaction however not all customers are treated equally with some getting preferential treatment over others. in my view all customers should be treated the same.

Pros: interaction with a diverse group of customers and cultures
Cons: not set guide lines for all customers

Excellent work experience

My experience at the company was great, there were challenges with entering a new industry with no knowledge of it but I had the opportunity to work with good people that entrusted me with learning the job and work practices on my own and helped me when I couldn't understand. experience at

Hard & neat worker. I Take pride in every task I do.

My days consists of GRV'ing invoices for jobs and stock & capturing of invoices. I handle the petty cash and pay COD suppliers via EFT banking, we used to pay by cheque and I am a signatory on the branch bank account since 2010. I was promoted from workshop administrator in March 2010 to branch and Sales administrator. I am a fast learner and I get on with my co-workers. I have learnt a lot about how earthmoving equipment work by getting involved in the workshop when the mechanics would do repairs and maintenance on the equipment. I enjoy being a part of a team. I am a hard worker and I do everything neatly and efficiently, with pride.

Pros: It is a stable company to work for.
Cons: Not applicable

A typical work day

ELB Equipment offers a range of Construction Equipment such as Rollers, Pavers, Hammers, Backhoe Loaders, Piercing Tools, Pipe Bursting Systems, Pipe Rammers, Pneumatic Hammers, Trenchers, and Horizontal Directional Drills. Currently I’m a co-opted board member with SASTT (South African Society of Trenchless Technology) of which I play an active role. https://sastt.org.za/board-members/

Pros: Im Currently on the board at SASTT (South African Society of Trenchless Technology) of which I play an instrumental role.
Cons: I don't enjoy working outside the borders of South Africa.

I too fragile sometimes im too scared of being shouted or hurt.

I have learned to work with different people from different cultures. I have gain lot of experience by being a hard worker, I can even do men 's job. Each an every year they give us new uniform. From head to toe. Working materials , etc .training meetings every morning.

Pros: 2 tea time, 30 minutes lunch
Cons: dont have time for lunch and tea time sometimes
