Working with purpose

Working withing this chemical manufacturer is extremely fast paced, having to ensure high quality of products and service at all times. I am able to communicate with internal and external customers on a daily basis at all levels which gives you an insight on the business within various departments that helps for a much clearer understanding. The company provides hygiene to the world, in the form of food,energy and most importantly water and has such a positive purpose to my job.Chemicals are generally very dangerous and must be handled with the utmost care at all times, safety is key to ensuring less or no injury and must be taken seriously at all times and can be challenging when managing staff as it is my responsibility. Awareness is important when leading teams and teamwork is the key to success.

Pros: Growth in promotion is good.
Cons: growth in salaries are minimum

Leardership skill, high attention to detail and hardworking.

It's a busy day each day at work on months ends it's worse but its good because I like being challenged. We make phone calls to clients regarding the outstanding invoices ,attend to customer queries, do reconciliation of accounts,allocation of payments, solving internal queries regarding credit notes and ways to improve service delivery. I report to the Credit manager on a weekly basis, attend weekly meetings with the operations department. I enjoy solving accounts, making recons and getting money in.

Pros: Willing to learn other functions and roles
Cons: working on weekends

Career Development

its a hectic day, with ad-hock queries and analysis do be done on different things . I am good to work as a team and individually. I have learned to respect people's opinions and to raise my opinion if i feel it will make a difference. I enjoy working with cooperative individuals especially if their input counts and if we work on execution and deliver by on time. The challenge would be dealing with uncooperative individuals that want to shift the blame on everyone and while they don't want to take accountability.

Pros: Developed good leadership skills
Cons: Working long hours to reach deadlines and getting no support
