EXCELLENT LEARNING CURVE

I START MY DAY CAPTURING ATTENDANCE AND SHIFT CALCULATIONS. I ASSIST FINANCE DEPT WITH FILING,SCANNING AND EMAILING SUPPLIERS. I ENJOY MY DAY AT WORK ITS JUST I KNOW I'M WORTH MORE THAN I'M EARNING AT THE MOMENT. I AM ASSISTING HR SO I LEARN A LOT FROM HIM. A CHALLENGE FOR ME IS WORKING FOR MORE THAN ONE MANAGER, PRIORITIZING WORKLOAD BUT I'M DOING A GREAT JOB.

Good learning curve

To manage the lifecycle of a new product development from concept through to production. Troubleshooting existing processes and recommend changes to enhance quality and productivity while improving profitability. Implement new product opportunities and manage timely completions of projects Create detailed BOM Instructions for new business. Doing Packaging specifications for Internal and for external supplier specifications. Create work Instructions. Create Process flow Create FMEA Read and analyze CAD diagrams. Analyze Risk Assessment Planning and maintain new project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving obstacles. Making sure that gateways on projects are closed on time. Control project costs and doing a feasibility

Enjoyed offering my services as a process specialist and having the parts approved for Volkswagen SA

Most rewarding in that the process and performance is measurable and the feedback always positive. I have an amazing working relationship with the entire team including the shareholders and everyone is pivotal in the success of the projects. No day is the same and the position is highly stressful which ensures quick action. One of the most rewarding aspect of working here, is that I'm able to share with the rest of the team my experiences and lessons learned from my work experiences. The most challenging aspects are the fact that there are very tight dimensional tolerances which must be met

Cons: Short term contract position as the company does not have the budget to afford me on a permanent basis

My Review Personal and Work

I enjoy working at Ebor ,the possibilities to grow is very good. I have to explain that my wife live in Durban and she wants me back in Durban or Gauteng which is closer to home. I have a lot of challenging days because i am responsible for launch and set up of the process and doing the tooling trials. I launch the projects and hand over to production. I am responsible for continuous improvement especially in the moulding process. Improving cycle times, part quality, assembly process lines. I have a very deep understanding of moulding process and fault finding.

Cons: Long Hours

Collaboration skills and teamwork.

At my work place its always a busy day, i enjoy the fact that i have pull up my socks everyday and make my bosses by giving them tje numbres. Ome thing i have leant in this industry working with people but
