Company Review

Great company to start your career, learning and development is important, open door policy with you line manager and executives of the company. A work hard/play hard type of company. Allows flexibility and not micro-managed. A results driven company thats recognizes and values their employees

Cons: lost its culture when management changed

Adapts to the changing working environment, eager to grow and develop and take on additional skills.

A typical day at E4 Strategic is a fast pace day, once you get in you have people all around you. Positive people uplifting, they give you a little motivation. Each day is unique, with its employee queries. This keep you update to date, always searching for a solution to work hard and better for the people around you. I have learnt to work smarter completing task, value of relationship of various types of people. I enjoy most the ability to be responsible for my workload and ensuring it is finished on time. Challenging aspects are having to work harder to be better than yesterday. But some times you need motivation to be better than you were yesterday, and avoid falling into the comfort trap.

Great co-workers, when the going got tough we were the tough ones getting going.

Typical workday entailed system checks in the morning, daily scrum meetings and then grinding until 4pm. Releases every second week in the evenings (remotely). I had a good rapport with all co-workers and management. I learnt everything about Agile Methodology and the full SDLC. Basic data warehousing was implemented. Learnt a ton about optomisations (specializing at (SQL) code-level). Familiarized myself with MySQL, SQL Server Query Store, accessing XML and JSON from SQL, sqlcmd (For backups). DR processes and LINQ.

Pros: Freedom to use own methods to get tasks done and great environment to learn from peers.
Cons: Demanding work hours.
