I have learned a lot, customer services, discipline, computer skills, certificates.
My day starts at 7H45 until 17H00, client orientated. I am Flexible, handling customers telephonically and physically. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues and we understand each other, there are low days where one is not feeling well and high days where we enjoy the company and are related because we can ask each other anything and will get correct answers or responses. I have learned to be a responsible person, positive and welcoming. With the good communication skills i am able to express my self positively. It is most challenging when clients do not understand our procedures as we have deadlines to meet, but i do my best to explain the process and what is needed / required.
Pros: I am doing my job for the love of assisting the community and for good service rendering. If promotion comes my way, then it is a bonus.
Cons: It is not that bad as i always have something to do, which keep me busy and i don't feel the time.

Integrated learning experience
It was great experience to do my internship at Drakenstein Municipality, co workers were friendly and willing to assist, teamwork is always shown, respect for every individual and learning careers for tertiary students is there..

It is an amazing experience. I could learned a lot in this sector regarding building work
Drakenstein Municipality is an amazing company to work for, maybe it is because is central for me and easy to get to my work. I have leant a lot at this mu municipality. But i is hard to go to the next level because most of the post available is being advertised external.
Pros: Drakenstein Municipality is an amazing company to work for, but in terms of promotion is a lack in the company. No promotions is taking place.
Cons: Working hours is standard (08:00 - 17:00)

1. A typical work day: Each morning prioritize work / tasks - highest to lowest priority taking in consideration subject to change example: high priority can become low priority. 2. Relationship with co-workers: Getting along very well with co-workers. Each one have a clear understanding of each other's role and responsibilities. 3. Values: Respect Excellence Representation 4. Finding new challenges. Having deadlines. Make clear goals and set an achievable time frame to achieve these goals. 5. Best effort at all times = Quality Ownership / invest in tasks and outcomes Consult, Consult, Consult = Review Meet deadlines – Always Ask how your results can improve 100% accuracy

Excellent learning curve
Drakenstein Municipality is a development friendly institution. We have therefore established a Development and Investment (DI) Desk, which will be the point of entry for developers approaching the Municipality with proposed developments in the area. The purpose of the DI Desk is to fast track the process of development projects in the Municipality. In essence, moving away from red tape and rolling out the red carpet for those who want to join hands with us to increase Drakenstein’s economic growth.

Excellent learning curve
For the day i have my duties as a management assistant student that serves the manager like assisting with general admin duties. I have a healthy interpersonal relationship with my managers. Everyday i am learning something new relating on the work we do on a daily basis. I enjoy to generate purchasing orders, writting minutes of the meeting.
Pros: highly chances of growth within the organisation
Cons: lunch @ 12:45 - 13:45 pm i would prefer it @ 12:00 - 13:00 pm

Need a challenge, in particular to organisational efficiency and policy implementation.
dealing with various queries. Maintaining working relationship with peers. Learning how to resolve conflict amongst employees and how to meet deadlines without causing arguments. Learning how to dynamic and flexible. Really enjoy the interaction with various members of the wider community. the challenge of the job is dealing with complains and finding a way to resolve it without escalations. Truly enjoy the HR environment, especially seeing people leaving he office with satisfaction of being helped.

Working under pressure
doing verification on a daily basis. afterwards doing a reconciliation of the day verification against previous years verification. doing inventory list of that verification. downloading reports to check for additions (capital) during the month and giving feedback to different department or sections on there monthly expenditure. doing journals for VAT. doing journals for operating goods that was bought on capital account numbers.

Excellent Learning Curve in law enforcement, Point Duty and Traffic
Basic Law Enforcement Training Program Traffic warden Training Point Duty Training Performing all the above mentioned training on a daily Basis. However working in the industry is tough but i enjoy every moment of it and everyday dealing with different kind of people, approaching them differently and dealing to each sitution accordingly.
Pros: Great Opportunity for working and learning from your work each and everyday
Cons: Working long hours
