BSc Chemistry and Chemical Technology

My name is Thandeka Zinhle Kunene. Your adverts caught my eye as I appear to be a perfect match for this position and I am eagerly applying for the vacancy. The knowledge and practical skills that make me fit for this position was mostly gained through my studies in BSc (chemistry and chemical technology) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal(UKZN). I completed my degree in 2015 and started my honours in 2016. Through my studies I have gained knowledge and practical skills in applied chemistry, chemical and environmental chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, catalysis, drug discovery, green chemistry and physical chemistry. I have experience in conducting experiments, compiling reports, cleaning and setting-up of laboratory equipment, data capturing and analysis, sample preparation, testing and analyzing using different techniques for sample characterization.

Great learning curve

The work never stops , on a typical morning I first check on open order deliveries and scheduled arrivals and then liase with logitics on delays to confirm details with customer. Thereafter I work on open queries to find a resolution , usually I have to communicate these with the account manager as these vary from pricing / shortage of product and deliveries .I then place new orders in orders in order to plan deliveries with logistics and relay order confirmations with the customer. In the afternoon , I usually work on indents and export orders and liaise with ITO on vessel details and supporting documents in order to keep the customer updated on this information. by the end of the day , I work on my open order report to keep it updated and close of items that have been completed regards Mpho Ramonotsi

Excellent learning curve and relevant industry experience

It's good and challenging People management is key because of people from different backgrounds and age groups Time management is key Managing production and attending key interdepartmental meetings Ensuring SOP's are followed and safe procedures are adhered to Liase with planner and lab for quality production Challenging downtime
