DNMZ Consulting Engineers Reviews

My daily vibe

Presently I work for Engineering Consultants, we have a lot of High profile clients, we also take work projects on that involve additional payrolls currently we have 250 permanent staff members & a work project of 850. This varies from month to month. Sometimes there are a number of projects so there is plenty off payrolls to process regarding, working hours, bonus' and over-time etc. My day is varied, and whatever problems arise I take control and resolve what I can or else pass the problem on to the correct department or manager, for authorisation that I cannot give. I have a good relationship with all employees from the cleaners, security, my co-works including all managers and Directors. I enjoy all my tasks but mostly I enjoy reconciling my cashbooks, posting journals and the HR aspect as I believe in making sure the staff get their correct remuneration every month including bonus', commission, increases etc. So that they can do their job to the best of their ability.

Pros: Being entrusted to do the tasks I am assigned to do as well as the recognition when achieving them.
Cons: My day is never really over, as I will always be available for whatever situation arises.

Excellent learning curve

I get to learn alot on civils and structural, not only draughting but designing too. The engineers share valued information and are also interested in learning and hearing what you have to share. Unpaid overtime is the most challenging, especially if some1 just gives a time line without propaly checking the workload.

Pros: Learning opportunity
Cons: Unpaid overtime

Critical thinker

It is an OK environment to work at with about 80%male and 20% female. There is great exposure for juniors and supportive. You can confidently perfume well in an independently handled or managed project

Pros: Exposure to technical methods
Cons: Long hours and no employee incentives
