Typical Working day
Once I get to work sometimes at 6:30 latest 7:30, 1st task is to see to the teams to go out on site once they leave I can do work set out for me. I do tasks quickly but the proper set out way as I believe in getting everything that was set out for you done the same day never carry over work for the next day and once that is done its lunch at 1, then I have to wait the rest of the day for the team to come back to the workshop and they give me a lift home. I reach home latest 9:00 - 9:30 where my working hours stated in my contract of employment is 7:30-5:00. I have a good relationship with all the guys I work with I'm in fact the only female in the Durban branch out of a bunch of guys, we work together peacefully. I have learnt a lot from working here, my experience was a result of working for this company.

Project management at international level
Working as part of a vibrant team is one of my strengths . I love the idea of learning from other team members and also share my knowledge and experience with others.
Pros: i was part of a start up international project which helped me think outside the box and on my feet. this was challenging and exciting at the same time.
Cons: long working hours and was away from my family.

I am a team player who is ken on venturing and learning new systems. Having to mange different projects have been a great experience for me which has added to my people management skill and have also learnt to think outside the box, which believe has added to my strengths as a person.
Pros: Exposure to different scenarios and projects
Cons: having to think on your feet, at times with limited information.

Learning - new industry
long hours, too many injuries due to PPE problems. company does not want to spend the money on protective clothing. no payment for admin staff for overtime work. current salary is ridiculously low no career advancement options no stability - i have been here since September and am currently working without a contract Good working relationships with colleagues managers change working processes without thinking things through and they cut corners where they can. with disastrous consequences

I was given an opportunity to project manage an international project, which brought in significant revenue to my company. Being an active, involved team player did add to my advantages, though it was challenging but i learnt new skills about myself that i was not aware of. I learnt to be extra pro active, think outside the box and on my feet.
Pros: opportunity for growth and to be an international player in the industry.

Was given an opportunity to do project management. Learnt a lot through the exercise. Being a team player i found out more of my capabilities that i was not even aware off. Learnt to think outside the box, learnt to do damage control.

Career objectives and social life balance
In my final year with Unisa for my BCom in Financial Management. Hoping to further my studies after obtaining my Degree. Am a hard worker who is willing to learn. Can take constructive criticism with an open mind. Good with figures and can think outside the box. I enjoy my work and always wiling to take up new challenges.
Pros: I am enlarging my human and project management skills, while continually learning in the process.
Cons: Having to balance my social and academic life . Baing always busy seeing that i am also a married woman and a mother.
