I was on an In-service training at Johannesburg General Hospital for a year rotating in the Finance Department sections namely Main Cashiers, Budget and Book Keeping and Account Payable s. I have mainly accumulated experience in reconciling, the importance of deadlines and accuracy, and the structure of the department and the role of each section, consistency. Excluding the experience above, I was also working at Discovery Vitality as a Correspondence Consultant, Sterikleen as an Administration Intern and Student Village as a Promoter. I have learned about professionalism in the work place,self discipline, a manner of communicating to clients, colleagues verbally and in written form, working as a team and mostly client confidentiality in each of the companies. Lastly at Khandama Construction Company as a Filer and Makro as a Data Capture including Sterikleen I have learned the importance of record keeping and accuracy.

Brilliant opportunity to grow and experience a vast range of Business Concepts and Units
The most challenging part of the job is also the most rewarding, and that is the Human Capital Management aspect of the role. Getting to mentor and grow people into their best selves so that they can add optimum value to the Company is an amazing privilege. I have learnt so much in my tenure at Discovery - Vitality in terms of who I am as a Manager, how to deal with conflict, how to handle diverse personalities and how to tell a story that is driven by data, analysis and statistics.
Pros: Great company culture, Supportive Management, Flexible working hours.
Cons: Large corporate that you can get lost in, hard to stand out from the crowd.

Learning environment
It's a fast paced environment, constantly launching g new products and systems. One thing amazing about the company is the couching team as they constantly check up on employees and monitoring employees for progress. Team work is one of the core valuespp

Nothing I couldn't manage, but looking forward to expanding my knowledge to other avenues.
The company has helped in identifying my capabilities, strengths and my shortfalls which I'm currently improving. Busy working environment, not much time given to attend to personal matters. Always expecting the best from you even on your own bad days. Working hours and workload may cause a lot of strain, with not solid foundation between business and staff. Unfair incentive structure made up of unrealistic measures.

A great company
My day start of with a daily stand up with my onshore team, what we did the day before and our task for the current day. then i will have the same meeting with my off shore team. I attend market meeting with France, Germany and Austria Test Managers. Defect meeting to get updates on all open defects Update Jira Board for defects Assist team with testing Create Daily status report

Learning curve for sure
Dont work here. Thats it. All is not always has it seems. If you have no other choice then work here. Staff was wonderful loved everyone. Environment was great Management is absent.

Excellent
First job in a corporate company. Came in a boy leaving as a man. Definitely not for sissies. Call centre and social media is not everybodys game. Good company to work for.
