Great and exciting learnig curve,

Working at discovery has absolutely unleashed the best in me,it has allowed me to grow as an individual both personally and professionally. Being an employee of such a dynamic and innovative company has broadened my horizons and has ultimately made me sharp when it comes to service delivery as well as producing under pressure. ***My typical work day begin early at 6:30 am by simply login gin to my portal and t,then typically I would attend payroll issues,call clients and make necessary arrangements,update their accounts and freeze or unfreeze their accounts and also attend their queries pertaining everything that has to do with their credit cards,monthly premiums etc **On a professional level we relate well and also on a personal level we relate excellently,we have as a family ***I have learnt that team work is the heart of every business and it is through team that a lot can be achieved **I enjoy the learning experience and solving new problems

Pros: great platform for development and to climb the corporate adder
Cons: over working,over time sometimes even on wekends

I am highly motivated, energetic and driven to success.

I am a systems developer with JavaScript, java,HTML5/CSS3 skills.I have a Bsc degree and and 2 years experience. That way,I am looking for an opportunity to develop and grow my skills.

Pros: I can work individually as well as a group.
Cons: I am willing to work long hours.

Excellent learning opportunity

I'm a creative, mature, diligent worker and take pride in my work. I am willing to work over-time. I enjoy meeting new people and I'm a team player. I have a strong marketing background and I have learnt so much with regards to the field in the past years.

Its a great company to work for,you get a lot of a exposure internally and externally. I believe that each department allows you to challenge yourself and work on upskilling yourself.

Work

Typical work day consists of power issues throughout the building. Dealing with calls and assisting people with there problems. occasionally doing work permits for contractors.Managing job cards & mentoring junior colleges. Complaint querying.

Pros: Reasonable work hours
Cons: No growth

Excellent learning and experience

My job description was not I pin line with what I was doing I found d myself having to do more work that what I was supposed to-do, the working environment has its lows and ups minimal chances of growth to much discrimination

Great leraning curve

The work environment is very good for working and interacting with other co-workers. I learn a lot everyday and the challenges are very minimal. I enjoy how easy and accessible managers are, they are not difficult to talk to.

Pros: Great opportunities to work from one department to another.
Cons: Not been able to work from home as interns.

Opportunity to learn

I am currently working as an Operations Specialist at Discovery Investments team and I support the management team on their daily activities, I do projects scheduling, projects coordination, project management and take minutes of the meetings, publish minutes, do root cause analysis, data integrity, business risk management, audits, administration of work, collate reports, distribution of reports to the executive team

Pros: The company has room for growth and encourages people to gow
Cons: Working under pressure, with long hours
