Excellent exposure and learning curve

My Day, consists of listening to calls as well as coaching and training of sales and customer service consultants. I have a very good relationship with my co-workers and I was able to come up with a committee that plans yearly functions for the company in order to ensure great working relationships between colleagues. I have learnt a lot about how business works and the behind the scenes processes that are used to ensure the smooth running of the company. I enjoy working with people that are not afraid to let loose that don't value profit over their employees but rather use the concept of a "Happy employee is a productive employee". The most challenging aspects of the job would be working with different people although it may positive it also has negative to it given the fact that, everyone has their own personality and opinions and feedback is not received the same by individuals.

Pros: Great opportunity fro growth and promotion as the company grows
Cons: Company may want to outsource management positions more often than not.

Management works on an open door policy.

Being at a start up has given me confidence in myself and my ideas. Being able to have a coffee with my CEO has also given me insight into the many obstacles and rewards of starting from scratch. I've learned to take initiative and believe in my skills and talent

Pros: the work environment is very casual, open and young
Cons: Because we're new, we do not have basic benefits viz: medical aid and a provident fund

This start-up does not nurture intellectuals by offering them work that is challenging.

A typical day would comprise of doing the most monotonous work in existence. All of the operational components (departments) of the business did not need any employee to have a tertiary education and hence it provided little value for someone who needed a challenge. I had a good working relationship with most of my co-workers. Over my duration at the company I learnt alot about the company and what happens in a call center environment.

Pros: If you need a confidence boost for your next job.
Cons: monotonous, unstimulating, brain numbing work. No opportunity for growth. Top level will not listen to ideas
